Feeling melancholy

Winter travels

Grass is dead and yellow

Trees devoid of life 

Clouds gray and gloomy

Strands of light from the sun poke through the layers. 

Winter traveling is a rather depressing. It resonates on those days when one has the big “c” because there are days like that. When the pain, fatigue and other symptoms just seem to gradually dim the soul. 

It’s at times like that when I go back through my notes, cards, well wishes and posts. I feel the love, care and light around me who wear glowing smiles offering encouragement that helps me through those low spots. 

About 3 more hours to go, but we’ll get there eventually.
