Taking a Moment

I took gifts to the oncology center today. It was a good thing, but it was whirl wind of emotions and conversations. I was able to hand deliver almost all 20 bags.

When I got home, I needed to stop. I stopped and took a moment to stand in my drive way and be present in gratitude.

It was hard not to hug all those amazing people that helped Michaela during her cancer treatment. Many talked about her impact on them. Each story personal to Michaela. It was amazing to hear each story.

The entire staff there is deeply compassionate. I feel so grateful with how they treated her with such respect and kindness. So there was lots of tears. Tears from me and also the staff.

I am glad I could give them gifts and thank them personally.
