I love Star Wars

Last night I was asked why I liked Star Wars. I didn’t have a well thought out answer, but my main reason was because the person I shared Star Wars with and that was Michaela. I am sure that my love of stars wars comes from the person I loved wasn’t the expected answer.

I do love the lore, the characters, the story, how it has created more stories which created a whole universe around the original stories. I love the strong females throughout all the stories. I mean Leia is a princess and a general.

My main reason for liking Star Wars though comes from all the time I shared watching the movies with my love and talking about them with her. We had so many good moments that spun off the movies - playing board games with Star Wars themes and then we went to an exhibition of the costumes at the Denver Art Museum with my parents. It was amazing to see all those up close. The detail was incredible. We had such a good time at that exhibit.

We have Star Wars prints from that exhibit in our house, we have one of those “in this house…” that is Star Wars related, we have grocery sacks, t-shirts, mugs, and storage containers all Star Wars themed. All have memories associated with Michaela.

The last movie Michaela saw in a theater was a Star Wars movie surrounded by good friends.

Star Wars will forever have memories of my love. It will be why I will always love Star Wars.
