She Glows
“You cannot grasp me. You cannot contain me. And you wouldn’t want to, either. Because I am free in this new place. And believe it or not, I am finally perfect. I am happy. I am healthy. I am whole. And I am with you always, even until the end of time. But I am not dead. Not even a little.”
The whole piece by Sean Dietrich is beautiful and stated exactly how Michaela and I view death.
When I talk to Michaela and see her in my mind now - she is whole, she is healthy, she is happy, she is beautifully herself.
I struggle so much with what she missed out in the here and now. How she didn’t get to finish her transition. How she didn’t get to see all the amazing people who would have supported her in that transition. How she was only 50 and had so much more to do. So much more life to live. Sean Dietrich’s words helped me remember she is happy and healthy and fully whole as she was meant to be now. She is still made of stars and she glows.
